King Bhumibol dead

Thailand's king Bhumibol has died. He was a fatherly figure to his Buddhist kingdom, respected by people of all faiths. The world's longest-reigning monarch, who ruled his country for 70-years, died on Thursday in a Bangkok hospital, where he had been treated for years for illnesses affecting his lungs, kidneys, brain and blood. He was 88.
