Rohingya land confiscated by Myanmar government

Buthidaung: Burmese authorities’ land confiscation in villages of Buthidaung has forced the remaining Rohingya out of their homes since late January according to updates received on 13th February 2018.
Rohingya’s lands in Ali Ong (Alichaung) village have been confiscated by the authorities since late 2017, where villagers are forced out of their homes on daily basis by either threats or torturing.
Nearly 300 acres of land in Ali Ong (Alichaung) village have been confiscated in mid-2017 from Rohingya in the area. Since the confiscation military evacuated the area by abusing and torturing the owners to build their camps.
Since yesterday bulldozers were seen on those areas along with large ships near the water bodies, forcing the remaining villagers to leave their own houses. Following the terrific situation they too are seen to be joining the ongoing exodus towards Bangladesh.
Confiscation of Rohingya’s land is a rooted genocidal tool since the military rule in Arakan (Rakhine), where till today Rohingya are scapegoated just for the crime of residing in their own ancestral land. is shared from RVision:
