Maungdaw: Military Intensifies Raid & Arrest

Maungdaw: Burmese forces once again raided a village in northern Maungdaw, where they abused and tortured Rohingya inhumanly along with arresting 3 youths, reports a local from the area.
At around 8 AM a team of military raided Burashiddafara (Oo kya Kyar) village of Maungdaw and abused remaining Rohingya residing there.
Initially they raided house of a Rohingya Ayub S/O Kamal, which was an empty house as they were forced to flee towards Bangladesh.
They heavily patrolled all over and asked why the remaining Rohingya did not flee. In response to such statement they replied “This is our ancestral land and even if we get killed here we will not flee”.
Earlier they captured few Rohingya labour whom were working in the hilly areas and tortured them under exposed sun till evening 04:00 PM on their way to leave the village.
Later they arrested 3 Rohingya youth arbitrarily and took them to the police post. Among them one was identified to be son of Saifullah.
Raiding Rohingya villages became a common crime in the soil of Arakan (Rakhine), where Rohingyas are either harassed, abused, arrested, raped and even killed openly.
